I love going on holiday with a good manicure and in the summer, I have to include a pedicure too. It makes me feel groomed and ready for the relaxing break. And I like that with the selection of gels these days, I know that my hands and feet will be looking good without the need for any maintenance whilst I am away. As I had really limited time to head to a salon before my trip to Edinburgh with Mr Ting, I thought this would be a good chance to try out Blow Ltd.
There is a website or you can download a handy app where you can order services like blow dries, makeup application and nail services to your home. I like the convenience of not having to leave the house to get ready and the fact that they offer their services from 7am through to 7 pm Mondays to Saturdays and 7am to 6pm on Sundays. I booked in for a gel manicure and a classic pedicure as I know that regular polish on my toes will do just fine but I am heavy on my hands so gels for my manicure are a must. It was easy to book through the app and everything was there on my account so I could see who was coming and what treatments I had ordered.
When my therapist Lucy arrived, she was well prepared with all her equipment and we set up space for the manicure and pedicure treatments to take place at my dining room table.
We began with the classic pedicure and as Lucy got to work softening my feet and preparing my nails for colour, I got to choose from the range of polish colours that she had with her. I went with a classic bright red for my pedicure as red toes always make me feel instantly summery and cheerful. This is a beautiful Essie shade called Russian Red and for some unknown reason, it isn’t in my personal nail polish collection. Something that I will have to change.
Whilst my pedicure was drying, it was time for my gel manicure. I find that as I am so hard on my hands a gel manicure is a must for me if I want my nails to look good when I go away. I never remember to pack my nail polish to top up when I’m on holiday and who can be bothered with that anyway?
For my hands, I chose a very pretty shade called Mint Cadillac. We checked whether this would work against my yellow dress I’ve got planned for my upcoming visit to Edinburgh and I fell in love with the combination. And it is something that feels appropriate for the summer whilst being a little different from the usual pinks and corals.
I am really happy with my experience of fast beauty with Blow Ltd. Not only was it easy to book but the service was great when my treatment was taking place. I liked that I could have my beauty treatments done in the comfort of my own home so when the appointment was done, I could get on with my day without having to waste time on travel. Perfect because I am always rushing when getting ready to go on holiday.
If you fancy trying out Blow Ltd for yourself then head to their website or download their app. Use my code TTT20 to get £20 off any of their services (valid through 2017).
